Official Website
“It’s Not Rocket Science” (Union 2112) is Captain Everything!’s third full length release, but only their first in North America. They toured supporting this unbelievably catchy pop-punk release in Canada in June/July 2004 with Belvedere and Bigwig. For fans of NOFX, Bouncing Souls, Snuff, Nerf Herder.
CAPTAIN EVERYTHING! sprung into life in the UK almost years ago, when Watford schoolboy Lewis asked his idol, Jon, to be in a band. Together they searched the globe and found a second rate beatnik with a set of drums (Rich), and sealed their fate, cementing 5 songs of rapid fire poppy skate punk in the first rehearsal.
During 1998 CAPTAIN EVERYTHING! played numerous gigs in Watford and followed this up with putting out a self released 23 track CD, called “Music By Idiots". The band then decided that there was a world outside Watford and went about getting themselves gigs with whoever would have them, anytime and anywhere.
Early 2000 saw the band record their first studio album "Learning To Play With..." which was released on Hectic Records many months later. This was followed with more gigs and touring further afield with bands such as CAPDOWN, THE VANDALS, CONSUMED, and TWOFOLD.
The following year CAPTAIN EVERYTHING! returned to the studio and the result was “Make The Love Connection” a split EP with East London’s ROUTE 215, which was released on 20 Deck Recordings.
Then, in April 2002 CAPTAIN EVERYTHING! joined forces with London label Household Name Records, who re-released "Learning To Play With..." and the band embarked on some full time touring. Since then, CAPTAIN EVERYTHING! have been on the road with NERF HERDER (including 3 weeks in mainland Europe, SNUFF, LIGHTYEAR , FIVE KNUCKLE, FRENZAL RHOMB and MUSTARD PLUG
2003 was a great year for CAPTAIN EVERYTHING!, they surpassed CAPDOWN for the title of “hardest gigging band in the UK”. Alongside this they released an awesome album called "It's Not Rocket Science" in June 2003 on Household Name, and toured in November 2003 with UK legends SNUFF.
Touring on the last Grind Tour they hope to be back kickin' it Canada soon. |
