ERICPANIC est un groupe punk rock francophone formé en septembre 2003 et composé de quatre membres : Rick Panic (voix et guitare), Julie Panic (voix, guitare, violon et piano), Max Panic (batterie), et Jeff Panic (basse).
Catharsis, le premier album du groupe paru en août 2004, a connu un très bon accueil de la part du public ainsi qu'une excellente diffusion. Tous les extraits de l'album (Récréation, Les majeurs fendent l'air, Ma vie à huis clos et Le Duel) ont remporté un vif succès à la radio et à Musique Plus (où les quatre vidéos ont régulièrement trouvé une place au Top 5 et au Décompte Musique Plus). Cette large diffusion a permis au groupe de se faire connaître rapidement.
En un an, EricPanic a donné tout près d'une centaine de spectacles partout au Québec, au Nouveau-Brunswick et en Nouvelle-Écosse. Le groupe a participé à plusieurs événements importants (Vans Warped Tour, Woodstock en Beauce, etc.) et a même été invité à assurer la première partie du spectacle de Good Charlotte au stade Uniprix, à Montréal. Les spectateurs et les critiques sont unanimes : sur scène, EricPanic est une bombe d'énergie et de sourires!
Après plusieurs mois de retraite fermée consacrés à la composition d'un nouvel album, EricPanic effectue enfin un grand retour avec Le combat est au jardin, un deuxième album mature et authentique, dont la réalisation a été confiée aux bons soins de Pierre Rémillard et l'enregistrement effectué au magnifique Wild Studio cet été.
Pour les membres du groupe, Le combat est au jardin représente le fruit de plusieurs mois de travail acharné, d'une poésie entretenue par l'absurdité d'un monde en pleine rupture, ainsi que d'une collaboration passionnée et enrichissante avec Pierre Rémillard. L'album, qui regroupe 13 chansons percutantes et renferme plusieurs surprises dont une interprétation d'un poème de Gaston Miron ainsi qu'une participation savoureuse de Jacques Languirand, sera disponible dès le 17 octobre.
Afin de souligner le lancement de son deuxième effort, EricPanic reprendra la route pendant tout le mois de novembre pour une tournée qui mènera les membres du groupe aux quatre coins du Québec, en France, en Belgique et en Suisse en compagnie du groupe punk français Guerilla Poubelle.

Catharsis, the band's first album released in August 2004, was very well received by the public and enjoyed a wide play distribution. All the tracks from the album (Récréation, Les majeurs fendent l'air, Ma vie à huis clos and Le Duel) aired to great success both on the radio and on Musique Plus (where the four videos were regularly found among the Top 5 and Décompte Musique Plus). Such a wide distribution brought the band rapid recognition.
By the end of the year, EricPanic had given approximately one hundred concerts staged throughout Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The group participated in several important events (Vans Warped Tour, Woodstock en Beauce, etc.) and was even invited to open for Good Charlotte at Uniprix Stadium in Montréal. Concertgoers and critiques were unanimous: on stage, EricPanic is a blast of energy and smiles!
Following several months dedicated solely to composition, EricPanic came back with Le combat est au jardin, a second album marked by maturity and authenticity. Under the careful direction of Pierre Rémillard, the album was recorded at St-Zenon's magnificent Wild Studio in the summer of 2006.
For the band's members, Le combat est au jardin represents the fruit of many months of hard work, poetry rooted in the absurdity of a world seemingly falling apart, and a passionate and enriching collaboration with Pierre Rémillard. The album containing 13 intense tracks with several surprises including an interpretation of a poem by Gaston Miron as well as the much-appreciated participation of Jacques Languirand, will be released on October 17th.
To highlight the release of its second album, EricPanic will again take to the road, and air, for the month of November on a tour including venues in Québec, France, Belgium and Switzerland in the company of the French punk rock group Guerilla Poubelle.
